Start by setting up your child’s MacBook so that it is secure, useful, and focused. Then explore options for getting the most of this tool so your child can imagine new possibilities, try things they’ve never done before, and grow as a person.
MacBook Setup: How it works
I prioritize efficiency while ensuring that your laptop is configured to meet your student’s needs and enhance learning opportunities.

1.Consult
Start with a 15-minute phone call or video chat to discuss your student’s needs and answer questions. If you need more time, we can extend the call.

2.Setup
You order the MacBook for pickup at the local Apple Store. I pick it up, install your school’s required apps, set up guardrails, and create separate accounts for you and your student.

3.Handoff
I bring your laptop to you in person and we test it together, making any adjustments, confirming access to your child’s Learning Management System, and answering your questions.

4.Support
60 days of support to ensure the MacBook performs as configured. Coverage includes account access, parental controls, content filtering, school software, and printer setup. Additional support for more advanced needs is available at my hourly rate.
